You want to stay connected and can't put down your phone, tablet or laptop, so what facilities can you find on ship?
Most ships have internet access or WiFi, but there could be some WiFi blackspots, ships are made of steel so you may need to reposition yourself to find the best reception. The signal is via the satellite so there could be times when it is down. Also, there are some types of software you can't use, like Skype, a VPN or gaming due to the bandwidth issues. New high speed internet services will soon be available on the likes of Royal Caribbean, so these issues may not be as common! Don't forget when the ship is in port you may be able to find a free WiFi hotspot in the port or close by, so why not see where the crew are heading!
