On all ships of their fleet, Royal Caribbean allow smoking in the casino on most days (note: there are non-smoking areas within Casino Royale, too). Apart from that, smoking is only allowed in designated areas of the open decks. Smoking in cabins or on the balcony is not allowed.
The automatic gratuity is $14.50 USD, or $17.50 USD for suite guests per day, applied to your account. Gratuities are used to reward Royal Caribbean's crew members for their excellent service, and they are shared between all service staff. Gratuities on Royal Caribbean ships are optional - this means you can request to reduce the daily amount if you are not happy with the service provided. Modifications can be made until the morning of disembarking.

The entertainment offered on-board varies from ship to ship but all have something spectacular to offer. Whatever your activity level, there is plenty to enjoy and all age ranges are catered for.
High octane entertainment includes having a go in the iFly skydiving simulator, learning to surf on the Flowridersurfing simulators or reaching incredible heights by travelling in the North Star: jewel shaped pods that ascend 300 feet above sea level. You can also enjoy bumper cars at sea, roller-skating on-board and trapeze lessons on your ship in the SeaPlex.
For those after more sun than anything else, there are a variety of pools to swim in, Jacuzzis to relax in and even waterparks to splash around in. Oasis class ships even have a Central Park complete with thousands of plants and trees – just in case you ever miss the greenery of land!
With theatre shows like Grease, live action ice skating performances, incredible water shows in the aqua theatre and a variety of casinos, nightclubs and music bars, you’ll certainly never be bored.
Whatever tickles your taste buds, you’re sure to find something you’d enjoy on Royal Caribbean! Those of you who like a traditional dining experience can take your meals in the main dining room (of which there is often more than one!) or you can hit the buffet if you fancy something a little more informal.

Every stateroom will offer a television, telephone, shower, hairdryer and soap. You’ll also get lots more amenities which vary depending on the class of room and ship you’re staying on.
One of the stand out features of Royal Caribbean is their superfast Voom Wi-Fi which is one of the fastest at sea! They have also introduced smart check-in online which cuts boarding time down to ten minutes and smart concierge so you can book in at restaurants on-board, online. Once on-board, you can even have your room card synced to a WOW wrist band – so you’ll never lose your door key again!
Royal Caribbean aren’t as formal as some other cruise lines and whilst some nights may be formal, most evenings you are free to wear more casual clothes to dinner. For example, on a formal night, ladies might wear cocktail dresses and men may choose a shirt and dark jacket, whereas other nights you may just wear casual separates (but not swimwear). You’re also free to wear whatever you like if you just fancy grabbing a snack on deck or eating in the buffet!
