Bear Grylls To Join 2023 Cunard Cruise As Part Of Insights Programme

Acclaimed TV personality and adventurer Bear Grylls will be part of a fantastic line-up of speakers joining Cunard’s Alaska 2023 InsightsTM enrichment programme.

Bear, star of the Emmy award-nominated Man vs Wild, will join Queen Elizabeth’s maiden 2023 Alaska voyage, sharing his extraordinary experiences with passengers on board.

Before his star-studded career, Bear honed his survival skills as a soldier in the British Special Forces.

Since then, Bear has gone on to be one of the youngest ever climbers to reach the summit of Mount Everest, host several extreme adventure TV series, including filming with A-list celebrities including Barack Obama and Roger Federer, publish two autobiographies, be appointed as the youngest ever UK Chief Scout and obtain an OBE for his services to young people, the media and charity.

Bear’s latest adventure on board the Queen Elizabeth voyage, departing on 8 June 2023 from Vancouver, will mark his first speaking engagement on a cruise ship.

Those abroad the 12-night itinerary will hear from Bear and indulge in all of the fabulous, luxurious amenities Queen Elizabeth has to offer. The ship provides traditional cruising at its finest, with a delightful range of accommodations, art deco features, tasty dining venues, an elegant Royal Court Theatre, and glamorous bars to enjoy while on board.

Queen Elizabeth will cruise through the breathtaking landscapes as part of her first journey through Alaska, including Glacier Bay National Park, Tracy Arm Fjord and the magnificent Hubbard Glacier.

After the maiden Alaskan voyage, Queen Elizabeth will sail on six more itineraries from Vancouver throughout the summer of 2023, calling at ports such as Skagway, Juneau, Anchorage and Sitka.

Other inspiring speakers joining the voyages on board Queen Elizabeth, as part of Cunard’s Insights Programme, will include award-winning naturalist Dr Rachel Cartwright, British maritime archaeologist Mensun Bound, British mountaineer Kenton Cool, writer, explorer and poet Sir Ranulph Fiennes, adventurer and broadcaster Ben Fogle, polar explorer Ann Daniels, and Felicity Aston MBE, acclaimed polar scientist, explorer, and the first woman to ski solo across the Antarctic.

We’re delighted to welcome all of our world-class adventurers onboard next year for yet another fantastic enrichment programme.

There’s no better way to experience Alaska – one of the most magnificent places in the world – than aboard the magnificent Queen Elizabeth!
