Windstar Invest $250 Million Into Renovating Its Star-Class Ships

Windstar Cruises has just revealed its new Star Plus Initiative, a $250 million refurbishment programme. It will stretch and re-engine its three Star-class ships: Star Breeze, Star Legend and Star Pride. The Stretch Between October 2019 and November 2020, each ship will be cut in two and receive a new 25.6 metre midsection. Star Breeze will be the first  and there will also be an addition of 50 cabins to each ship, bringing the passenger count from 212 to 312. Carnival Announces Return To Europe In 2020 Following An Important Drydock

Carnival Cruise Line has just revealed it is returning to Europe for a handful of Mediterranean cruises in 2020! This will follow Carnival Radiance’s $200 million drydock in late April 2020. The ship is currently sailing as Carnival Victory and will come out of the 10-day drydock in Cadiz, Spain, with a 10-day Mediterranean sailing from Barcelona. This will be followed by nine- and 12-day departures visiting top destinations throughout the region, including Italy, France, Croatia, Greece, Malta and Spain. Cruise Ship Collides With Another Vessel Following Strong Winds

Earlier this week, Celebrity Constellation broke free from her moorings due to harsh conditions while docked at the port of La Spezia, Italy. The Celebrity ship was forced to call at the port due to the gale force winds in the region at the time. Cruise Terminal For The River Thames To Go Out The Window Following Reveal Of Health Risks?

It has just been announced that a huge new cruise ship terminal planned for the River Thames would lead to a surge in dangerous levels of air pollution. Campaigners have warned that London would then be faced with unknown health consequences for hundreds of thousands of people.
