My friend and I sailed on
NCL Norwegian Jewel from
New York to the Bahamas.
We had flown from Britain
for this Christmas cruise
and then were spending
New Year in New York. The
ship seemed to be all
Americans, we found only
2 other people from the
UK...
We have just come off the
NCL Jade 30 January, and
I have to say I was not
impressed. The ship is
very nice and I suppose
so were the rooms, but
that is where it stops.
Don't get me wrong, we
had a great time...
I thought we had a great
deal on the price of this
cruise until we realised
how expensive it was to
buy drinks on board. We
had no complaints with
the staff and food was
excellent but anything
else seem to carry a
cover charge even an
Indian themed lunch was...
March 2011, my family
& I went on
Independance of the seas,
canary islands, 14 of us,
to celibrate my 60th
& a 70th birthday.
good points, ship was
fantastic &
entertainment first
class, also food &
service excellent...
We have cruised with PO,
Cunard, Princess and
Royal Caribbean before
and this cruise compared
well with our other
cruises. we stayed the
night prior to the cruise
in Southampton in the
Holiday Inn. Very
convenient for
embarkation at the City
cruise terminal...
As a first cruise,
perhaps taking on the
North Atlantic was never
going to be a good idea.
We sailed from
Southampton to New York
via Norway, Iceland,
Greenland and Canada.
Crown Princess were the
company and the boat was
acceptable...
Our cruise on Regatta was
just as good as we
expected having
previously sailed with
Oceania on her sister
ship Nautica.
We like the size of these
ships; 650 passengers is
big enough to offer a
good range of facilities
without being too big...
Just returned from a
wonderful cruise starting
in Buenos Aries and going
south into Antarctica via
the Falkland Isles. The
Captain, Cruise Director
and the whole crew were
so friendly and looked
after us so well, dining
was excellent and the
views of the...
