Suggest you join your rollcall for your cruise.

Get chatting with others on your cruise via the roll call. If you google 'roll call cruises' it should be the first non sponsored link that comes back, just sign up and make friends before you board. Also good for joining shore excursions.

While I can't tell you about roll call, having been on QE2 and QM2 they do have get-togethers for single travellers and you will know about these from the daily programme of events which will be delivered to your cabin each evening. From what I've seen, they seem to have a grand old time and I'm sure you will too. The QM2 is fantastic. Don't worry.

Send a message to the Cruise Director, via the Purser's Office. I hear he's very nice. Introduce yourself to Gary King, the DJ on board. He's my husband.

A Cruiser? Me Sir? No Sir?...

By Jodie Baldwin

My last blog was about my partner actually taking his first cruise . My blog today has been done by Mike who tells us about his first cruise experience. Today is part 1 with part 2 to follow next time. Here goes! The idea of a cruise never really ‘floated my boat’. Hundreds actually thousands of people lumped onto a vessel, fighting for space and corralled for a least a week . No- not for me. On the other hand , if your partner is employed by one of the largest cruise travel agenci...

Well I am back from my Italian holiday and I paid a visit to Trento, the capital city of Trentino Alto Adige in the north of Italy nestled between the Alps. The drive to Trento was lovely and the view driving through by car was amazing, we were surrounded my mountain by their white tips all the way there. Verona to Trento is about 1 hour and there are good train connections. We visited an Aeronautical museum of Giovan Battista Caproni, one of the most important engineers of Aeroplane’s h...

It seems to me these days that people spend so much time moaning and whingeing about this and that, nothing works like it should and nothing is ever good enough, I thought it nice to share the thoughts of this refreshingly positive chap recently stranded on the NCL Star out in Australia.Francis Lahue and his wife were passengers of the Norwegian Star as it faced engine problems last Friday morning after leaving port. The luxury cruise ship was forced to bob without direction 30km off the coas...
