Brown - Answered a Question by Wilson (28 Jan 09 20:08)

Not sure if there is, but you could do what we did! We docked very early (Voyager of the seas) and our flight home was around 4pm, so we booked an excursion (with Royal Caribbean) to Montserrat - brilliant idea. They took us from the ship to the bus, transported our cases on to the bus, then we had a fantastic half day excursion and they dropped us and our luggage at the airport in time for the filght. The whole excursion was reasonably priced and didn't cost that much more than a taxi to the airport if I remember correctly. If you are interested, then go on to the RCI site, into your booking and look for the excursions for the day of arrival. you will probably find a few to choose from. I would definitely recommend Montserrat p.s. you may need to register on the RCI site and put in your cruise booking number to set up a "my cruises" account if you haven't already done so before you can see the actual excursions for your cruise. Hope this helps.

Wilba - Answered a Question by Wilson (28 Jan 09 20:32)

I've just done a search for you as I knew this had been answered many moons ago. So here's a paste by Jay of Bournville which is most informative......Wilba..........Apart from the Airport there are 3 baggage storage venues dotted around Barcelona; Sants train station, Barcelona Nord bus station and Passeig de Gracia metro. Please note that the Spanish word for baggage storage is ‘Conseignas’ and the symbol will either be a suitcase sign or a key and bag sign. Copy and paste this into your browser for more information -

We had this problem two years ago when we went on NCL Jewel. We booked the Monserrat trip but it was cancelled the day before we docked in Barcelona due to not enough people going on the trip. As our flight was not until late evening we took a taxi to Sants railway station and left our suitcases there. We then got on the tourist bus near the station and kept changing buses to see the city of Barcelona. We will probably due the same this year if we go on the Navigator if an excursion is not available.

I have just returned from a great 3 nights on board the Royal Princess where i flew from Gatwick to Edinburgh and then met my colleagues Emily, Ava and Juliette to catch the tender from the South Queensferry pier to where the Royal Princess was anchored and where the ship was to be our home for 3 nights on the cruise back to Southampton via Le Havre. We had balcony cabins on the sailing and you can view the tour of my cabin here:
