Q:Is everything likely to be open in the Caribbean islands during the Easter period please? The cruise which we're thinking of booking calls in to Antigua, St Maarten, St Lucia and Barbados between 21-24 April. Thank you in advance for any asistance 3 answers

Unless its a public holiday yes ,when a ships in port they open up, they rely on tourist to make living.

Yes, and the Caribbean is more religious than the UK. Just might be limitations esp shops Easter Sunday - St Lucia that day? - but I doubt you'll have a problem with taxis or with the decent selection of shops in the duty-free terminal. ............. there's no significant museums etc (? check out St Lucia's drive-in volcano, I think it's govt-run) ......... St Maarten is the only excellent shopping out of the four - and I'm guessing that's the saturday so I don't see a problem. ......... Chris
