Parking is excellent at Harwich. Depending which carpark your cruise is allocated, you either walk to the terminal or take the shuttle bus. When the cruise has departed the carpark is locked until its return. There are a few retail outlets near the terminal including a Morrisons (handy for the things you've forgotten!) and a pub for lunch if you wish (we haven't tried it). In the terminal building facilities are a bit limited but you can get a drink and snack and the lavatories are clean.

You just turn up and park. The cruise car park is alongside the ship and there are lots of porters who take your luggage from the car. You pay when you arrive and there is no reservation system http://www.harwich.co.uk/port_cruise.asp.
