Pack lightly and launder clothes in the on board self service launderettes or wash and drip dry in your bathroom and use the ships pressing service. I never use ships laundery service as clothes have been damaged in the past.
Hi! There are no self service launderettes on RCI ships. Laundry & Pressing service only......Wilba.
I stand corrected. I have never sailed on this line. I would still avoid the laundry and use the pressing service only. Having travelled extensively over the years and in some very out of the way and primitive places, I know there is very little you can't wash and drip dry in your own bathroom. A cruise ship bathroom is a doddle. Or just use a bigger suitcase, pack the lot and have them all pressed.
Like most cruise lines, Irons are banned by RCI as they are a fire risk! Read RCI's T's & C's ...Wilba.
I always take an iron but i dosnt get has hot as in england but if you want a ironing service thats not a problem your clothes will come back pressed lovely. last year when i took my iron when we got to miami sea port security they made me take it out of my case put it in my hand baggage and had my name and no of cabin i was staying in but after that it was ok.
I'm sure that irons are banned on RCI ships due to fire hazard. Check the FAQs on their website.
I suggest you read the Terms & Conditions of RCI & most other cruise lines. So when there's a fire on board it'll be so nice to know your clothes are nicely pressed as we all scramble for the lifeboats!!
A trick I use is to roll your clothes up rather than folding and you will find they don't need ironing!!!!
The 3 times i have travelled with rci i have always took an iron and it left on the table no one has said anything to us at all its like beening at home you always must be careful when using hot items i learned that at school has well and also our about the smoking areas or dosnt that count.
