Been in the Caribbean often. Most of the large shops accept US dollars and give change in same. Small shops will give local currency so take plenty of 1 and 5 dollar bills ashore.

All islands accept the $. Even British Virgin Islands! some islands, like Antigua only give you loose change in their local currency, east caribbean dollars. Aruba will give you florins. Cayman Islands in their C.I. dollars. All of this is just bits of cash to give to the airline on your return!

I can honestly say the entertainment team were really friendly and put on some great shows. I loved how the stage rose in the Neptune lounge making it a great area for lots of ...

Two nights on Indy..

By Alison Ranaldi

Alison Ranaldi's blog

Last week I spent two nights on the newly revamped Independence of the Seas.We sailed from Southampton in glorious sunshine to Le Havre and back. We had a balcony cabin on deck 9 which had everything we needed for a comfortable break. I’m not generally a fan of mini-cruises. They offer an excellent way for someone like myself to see the ships but I do not think they are a g...
