Hewlett - Answered a Question by quinn (09 Oct 07 19:44)

The beers are all bottled and American (BUD, COORS & MILLAR) However Bass is available in bottles and John Smiths in cans. We sailed this year from Southampton so am not sure if that prompted beers and I think Guines.

We were on the Sea Princess last month. As far as I recall the only draughts which they had was Stella and Boddingtons. They only served Fosters (in tins) at certain of the bars. I kept to John Smith's out of a tin! I did not see any Bass.

Hi Sea Princess has a good range of beers, but many are the gassy American ones. I sailed on the Sea P from Southampton in July and we also had Guiness and some very nice Bass, all in my view to cold, you must ask the waiter to take some out of the chiller when you order your first drink.

How embarrassing - the Englishman abroad! There is alway someone there to let down this great nation. The Sea Princess is a sumptious ship with luxury oozing out of every pore. Perhaps it would gain an extra star rating if it did serve bass? So throw caution to the wind, let your hair down, try some of the American beers, you've nothing to lose. Your not used to drinking decent beer anyway!!

There is definitely Boddingtons on draught and John Smiths in cans. Not sure about Bass or lagers.A perfectly reasonable question,by the way, despite two of the answers received.

If beer is your main priority then go to Butlins, cruises are not what cruising is abou.

My dear cowan this is not my main priority but let me tell you if the type of people i'm going to meet on a cruise are as arrogant and self righteous as you and a few other people who have gave their advice i'm starting to think twice about going cruising and i most certainly WON'T be using this site again i'm well educated enough and mature enough to know how to behave and to respect other people not put them down but not everyone is this lucky.oh buy the way find something else to do with your life how boring and empty it must be if this is how you spend your time.

Well said Quinn Co Tyrone! I cannot believe the manners of some contributors on this site- disgraceful! But dont let that put you off cruising, there are mainly decent well mannered cruisers around! Perhaps some of these less civil people have not cruised before! Enjoy your cruise, drink, be merry and be happy!!
