Azamara Journey

OVERVIEW: TheAzamara Journey, virtually identical toAzamara Questin features and fittings, suits mature couples seeking to get away from the crowds aboard a contemporary, mid-size ship with a wide range of bars and lounges, at a slightly lower cost than the luxury lines.

MS Noordam

OVERVIEW: Noordamoffers a wide range of public rooms with a reasonably intimate atmosphere and the overall feel of the ship is quite homely and comforting, with fresh flowers everywhere, as well as some nicely showcased Dutch artifacts from the 16th and 17th centuries.

Overall we had a good time. The food was plentiful but more at the mass catering level. The buffet was good and a much better choice for breakfast as unlike the service restaurants the toast wasn't rock hard! The Glass House provided great wines great...  Read More >>

We chose to sail on the Azura for our first cruise which went from Southampton to Guernsey, Cherbourg, Oporto and La Coruna. I cannot fault the cruise in anyway. The food, the service and the entertainment were excellent...  Read More >>

Hi to all cruisers, have booked a 'getaway' cruise with P and O. Sailed with them once before but never as a 'getaway passenger'. Is it true that I will have to pay for 'free' shuttle buses ? How are P and O going to implement this ? I mean how are they going to identify getaway passengers from Vantage passengers? Is there anything else I will be charged for? I go on 28 June. Thank you.

Went on Azura in April to Zeebrugge (Bruges) and Guernsey. We only used one in Zeebrugge to get to train station but it was free and we booked the Getaway fare just 2 weeks prior to departure.

Hi. I am booked on Azura next April for Zeebrugge. You say you got the shuttle bus to the train station. Please could you tell me, was it a Sunday. The reason I ask is, I read somewhere that the nearest station to where the ship docks, is closed on a Sunday, so I'm wondering if they still take you to the train station even though it's further away. I would be so grateful if you or any other past cruisers could answer my question. As I'm wondering how we'll get to the other station that's further away. Also I read that trains only run every 2 hrs on a Sunday. I'm going to say thank you in advance. But I bet I don't even see my question posted. Been trying to ask questions but have not seen any of my questions posted, let alone answers. I must be doing something wrong.

No you won't have to pay on the shuttle. Getaway fares represent good value for money. Justcome back from the Canaries, where there was a lot of disgruntled passengers who had booked advantage fares thinking they would get a price promise should the fares reduce and they didn't, we went for half of what they paid

Spoke to future cruise advisor on Azura recently and she advised that IF this happens they will inform customers, but not this year!! I have just booked a getaway fare and when on Azura it was getaway, I have so far been impressed with the cabin I have been given so I have no worries about booking getaway, I for one like a bargain and don't see the problem, the cruise companies should re think their pricing structure to be fair to ALL.

We have cruised a number of time with P and O on getaway fares but have not had to pay for a shuttle except in VEnice when the charge was for all passengers wishing to use the service. I am sure we were not charged for anything on board because we were on 'getaway' fares. We have never been disappointed and always had cabins which suited our requirements. We are cruising in June on Ventura again on a getaway fare. Hope this helps. MG

You will only have to pay next year, not this. No idea how it will work yet. Time will tell.

Undoubtedly P&O will literally "mark your card". The cruise card, which you are given on boarding will identify whether you are a Vantage or Getaway fare payer. And presumably the Cruise Card will have to be shown prior to boarding any shuttles. A similar system already works for passengers under eighteen in that their cards do not allow them to use the card to purchase alcohol...Bob
