US dollars will be fine. Have a great time.
Do not encumber yourself with E Carib$ All will accept the US$ and give you change in US dollars but when you take a taxi or anything similar and you are told the price make sure that they are talking US dollars. There is a tendancy to quote in local currency dollars hoping you will pay in US dollars. The difference is well in their favour, often double. Love the Caribbean in late autumn....Neil and Ida Dow.
All the answers - about accepting $$$s - are correct, but in our extensive experience, 'loose' change - like the east carib stuff or the florins in Curacao & Aruba - is given to you in the local currency. This can be donated at the airport or on the plane.
