Williams these people asked a civalised question why be such a arrogant snob maybe they have to budget, like i do myself i have cruised on ncl and po and many other lines but i still dress for dinner whatever line i cruise on, dont be such a cruise snob life is to shor.
I know I'm going to be shot at but.....Is this the extent of your curiosity and does it play an important part in choosing a cruise ? ....Nei.
"Here, here, Neil" .... is it just me or do I detect a new set of priorities taking over among cruise clientele -
How much is the alcohol and why isn't it the price of my local?
How can I take my own alcohol on board so I can consume it in my cabin and not pay the going rate?
How can I avoid having to pay tips to the staff who work so hard?
How can I avoid having to dress for dinner and instead go into the restaurant in shorts or jeans?
How can I stuff more food on my plate, as I've paid for it already and have to get value for money?
How can I disregard my fellow passengers and just have a good time irrespective of other people?
Why are some passengers such snobs and want to dress for dinner, pay for drinks and have no problem in tipping?
You may have to wait a while to get the definite answer to this question. According to recent shipping press reports the Pride of Hawaii was due to arrive in Los Angeles 9th February 2008 for her transformation to Norwegian Jade. Perhaps someone who has previously cruised with NCL from the UK can help you out as there may be some similarities across the fleet.
Well said White - Marshall, prices I have seen quoted on reviews for the Gem are that drinks start at around $7 and it is possible to by 5 beers for the price of 6. On previous crusies we have found that the bar prices are similar to Dublin bar prices. I have seen Amstel draught on other cruises but have not traveled with NCL before so can't help you there. Enjoy your trip and it would be good to read a review from you when you get back.
Response to Neil And Williams; My enquiry re drink on board Nor Jade was mainly to find what drink was sold;as on previous cruises only one draft was sold and I always drink it for a couple of weeks before hand to aquire a taste.I can assure you both I am not a new cruiser as this wil be my 11 th cruise and I can guarantee you that my bar bill will be one of the largest on the cruise. Also you must be sad people to have all this time on your hands to E-mail when you could NOT even answer my Questio.
£ 5-50p a pint.
Just returned from cruise on Norwegian Jade and it was fabulous. Draught beer is mainly Heiniken and approx £5 a pint. Bottles of beer are approx £20 for six pint bottles or had a offer one day, buy 3 bottles get 3 free, so stock up when its on as there are mini fridges in your cabin.
Thanks for that but I asked the question approximately 2 years ago.
