Alaska is in USA and Vancouver is in Canada - so you will complete the Visa Waiver Form on the plane on the way in, and then you will clear Canadian custooms formalities before you board in Alaska. You don;t need a visa for Canad.

I am flying to Vancouver from Newcastle (England) via Amsterdam (on KLM). Surely I won't get a USA visa-waiver form on this flight!! I was told the ship would provide a USA form !!?? Will I be able to disembark in Alaska ?? Regards, Allan Burdon.

I got a USA visa-waiver form to complete in the shipping terminal (as did ALL UK passport holders!) prior to boarding the cruise ship (Vancouver to Alaska). The form was handed to the US border inspection unit (and passport stamped) just prior to boarding the ship (NCL: Norwegian Sun). We also were issued an on-ship credit card as no cash was accepted on the ship; payment (US$, guaranteed by personal credit card) was made on the last day/night of the cruise. Allan Burdon.

Royal Caribbean are Bringing the very best ships over to Southampton from 2020I dont know about you but I love a Royal Caribbean cruise, Having been on the Independence of the Seas The Vision and the Allure clocking up a total of 32 nights so far I feel I am well placed to talk about the experience on Royals fleet and the contrast in ships. My personal favourite so far is the Oasis class as it has Central Park, The Royal Promenade and The Boardwalk. Still my favourite cruise to date.I am booke...

After an amazing trip to Lapland and a fantastic Christmas with the family our festivities were cut short as I was taken into hospital just after Christmas. Unfortunately I had to spend nine days there and have emergency operation on New Years day! As you can imagine this was not how I planned to see in the new year but as we all know these things happen and I am very grateful to have been very well looked after and now recovered.I was very well looked after by our amazing NHS, I know they ge...

What No Kisses On My Pillow?!!

By Lily Canderton

Lily Canderton's blog

10 years ago a tradition of the nightly turn down service on ships was a Chocolate Kiss on your pillow but this now seems to be a thing of the past according to a recently returned cruise passengerI hear all the time from passengers that ‘standards are not what they used to be’ with less and less being included and more and more being an added payable extra – Are cruise lines cutting corners just too much?Even the Berlitz Guide author commented that standards are slipping in...
