This is something you should check with your doctors surgery.

Thanks for your far from helpful answer that is a tad late. I posted the question on 1st December 2007 and went on the cruise in April 2008. Yes I knew that I could contact a doctor but I rather hoped to get the information from people that had completed such a cruise rather than waste a doctor's time.

You will not need a Yellow Fever jab for that area. Honduras and Belize are malaria areas and if you are going to go ashore after dark then there is a definite risk however if you wear long sleeves and trousers and use a good insect repellant you should be free from bites. No one can guarantee this. In general mosquitoes never seem to come on board ships so stay onboard for those two ports if you are really worried. The rest of the ports are currently free from malaria carrying mosquitoes. The advertising say "It only takes one bite" but the risk, if you are careful is small. Sorry ...Ida.

Although I have been to Ireland many times in my younger years , we were one of the families whose parents came over to England in the 1950’s for a better life , when there were better opportunities, and work was plentiful for anyone willing to work hard.So I was delightful to meet some Irish friends on our last cruise with Celebrity in October 2017 , but from the North, Belfast to be exact. Having been raised in an Irish catholic household we have had no reason to visit the north, in f...

It was time for my annual week away with great friends. Last year we went to New York, which was a little cold so this year we went to warmer climates. We stayed at Riu Cancun in Mexico which was a perfect location to the bustling nightlife. We boarded our flight in Manchester the day after and inch and a half of snow fell, so yes there was a two hour delay but that did not bother us. 10 hours later we had swapped the minus 2 degrees to a more relaxing 28 degrees. The hotel was fantastic, all i...
