Drinks package is for wine and water only but is very good value as the 15% service is included. PS great ship but cabins are a bit noisey.

I was on the Costa Serena earlier this year and I am a wine drinker but was never told about a drinks package!!! The others in my party were spirit drinkers and the drinks were extortionate!! This price hike is very obvious as you will hardly see anyone drinking in the bars. Bars are used for people relaxing but mainly they are sitting with a coffee or a soft drink....Says it all.

You can purchase the drink package on board or in the pier beford you board. I would purchase the package from your waiter because they earn commision out of it and they might give you a better service as a result. If you cruise with coster before and belong to costa club you get 25% discount on the package which work out very good value, the package only include wine and mineral water in the restaurant. Hope the information is useful to you. Enjoy your cruise.

We were on Costa Concordia in November last year. There were drinks packages available. Water Package, Wine package and a Beer package all were very good value. Just remember to buy them at the start of your holiday.

The wine pacxkages start at 69Euros for 4 bottles of wine and 7 bottles of water which is a good deal at the exorbitant prices they charge on board for drinks. We paid 6 Euros for two Diet Cokes. Dont worry about the availability of the packages they have bar staff round every conrner hard selling them. Pity they dont have them assisting waiting staff as we frequently left the restuarant at midnight on the second sitting due to poor service and cold food. Costa Serena was definately style over substance.

I was on the mediteranea in May they had a wine ,water, cocktail and coffee specials packages - we decided on the wine package which was ok only one bottle corked which was replaced by a better bottle of wine - the drinks may have been expensive at the bar But what the heck you are on holiday. The food we had on the ship was the best I have had on any ship and we have done a few with different lines -- have fun .

We have purchased the Costa Drinks Package and in fact as we were on a back to back cruise, we bought a second package. Most of the wines were good and we even managed to change one on the second cruise that we did not fancy so much. The free mineral water that went with the package was also very useful on hot weather cruises. However The Royal Caribben wines are of a slightly better quality in their packages.
