We have never been on a cruise ship before, we thought it would be like the ferry we went on to France. When we got out our car and mum said “THERE SHE IS” I thought WOW!!!!!!!

This ship is BIG!!!!!!

When we walked on to the ship through the big tunnels the friendly smart dressed staff asked me to wash my hands with gel which I thought was a bit weird but it is good they were being safe that no one had germs.  The first thing I thought when I got inside the Rotterdam was how shinny and sparkly everything was. I would not like the job of having to polish all the rails but it looks very clean and tidy.

We had a lovely lady called Karen show us around the ship first we looked at the cabins where passengers sleep. First we looked at a inside cabins which mum said were a lot bigger than some she has seen on other ships. The beds we so comfortable I could have fallen asleep right there. Karen also told us that there was a secret bed in the ceiling which pull down in a bunk bed for a child to sleep in, which looked really “Cool”.

We also looked at a cabin with a balcony and a window but we have told mum that when we book a cruise we want to stay in the Penthouse suite, it was gigantic. It had a big  Jacuzzi in the bathroom and big a living room. Dad said the bed was so big we could all sleep in it.

Karen said that in this room we would get a butler who could bring us milkshakes or pudding when ever I asked him to.  Also the Balcony was big enough for us all to have a sun bed each.

After we looked at the cabins Karen took us to look at the rest of the ship. If I went on this ship I would love the show lounge Karen said that on some trips they have “Dancing with the stars” dancers on board to teacher passengers how to dance and do shows. I love strictly come dancing and would really enjoy learning how to dance like them. I would also enjoy the Teenager club which looks like a New York loft that I could play computer games and make new friends.

I couldn’t believe there was two big swimming pools on the Rotterdam and next to one of them a giant chess game me and my sister would love playing this on holiday. There was also a snack bar and pizza take away. The pizza smelt really good and we were very hungry after all our walking aroundHAL2

Our favourite part of the day was lunch. The restaurant was very fancy with two floors and massive glittery chandeliers. I loved my fruit platter started and ice cream, but I didn’t like the fish. The waiters were kind to my dad making sure that his dinner didn’t have nut in it.  They were so friendly and helpful and every time my glass was empty they filled it with orange juice without me asking.

We have a great day finding out what our mum does at work and can’t wait to have our first cruise.
