Turkey Or Spain?

Have you seen that advert on TV for a certain travel company with people playing volleyball, –  “Turkey or Spain, Turkey or Spain? ” Why should you decide which destination when on a cruise you visit so many?

I am sure you will all agree that the main criteria in you choosing a cruise is the destinations you visit. There is no other holiday you can go on where you can see a different destination every day.  For those of you who have not yet booked or who have never booked a cruise before, perhaps this will help you.

If you love amazing scenery and this is what would really sell the holiday to you, then look at the Norwegian Fjords. If you want to go a bit further afield then why not try New Zealand, Alaska or even Chile – they have fjords there!  Perhaps it is the cities that sell a cruise to you, so of course I am going to say a Mediterranean cruise or perhaps the Baltic, did you know St Petersburg is called the Venice of the north? Have you considered a European river cruise, say to the Rhine or Danube?

If you want to get off the beaten track and see some great wildlife, then you could go to Antarctica, Greenland, the Arctic or how about the Galapagos Islands? You could even try a river cruise combined with a pre or post safari in Africa.

The weather of course is as important to most of us, we all need a bit of sun to make us feel better. If you are looking at other places in the world such as the Caribbean or the far east, please do remember that the weather is not always sunny and wonderful there, we do have to choose the right times of the year.
