Cruise Along The Irrawaddy

Cut off from the rest of the world for so many decades, Myanmar (Burma) is one of the worlds most secretive, mysterious and fascinating destinations. It has a unique centuries old culture and spectacular architectural wonders.  Well, the good news is you can visit this wonderful country and also experience a fantastic 14 night river cruise along the Irrawaddy river.

APT are actually building a brand new ship for this wonderful destination. The Princess Panhwar. It only has 36 staterooms, all with either full or french balcony’s. One of the highlights for me, would be visiting Bagan, home to thousands of temples and monasteries. You can climb to the top of a pagoda and look down over the plains. Wonderful and I suspect very awe inspiring!  Another highlight would have to be Mandalay, even the name sends shivers down by spine! There is an awful lot of Buddhist history and culture here, simply enjoy the sights and sounds of such a wonderful destination.
