Crazy Waves At Sea!

We all decide to go on a cruise for many different reasons and why not? We know there is so much to do and see and of course eat and drink! There are however people out there who actually look for a ship which has the biggest and BEST water slides at sea!  If you feel that your day would not be complete without experiencing an adrenaline fuelled few minutes, perhaps you should be checking these water slides out!

The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have a water slide dubbed the “Aqua Coaster” due to its roller coaster like warren of twists and drops. Ride or is it slide? through the 765 foot course, taking in views above the ocean, till you drop into the lazy river at the end.

Or, how about “free fall” on Norwegian Breakaway and Getaway? Two people step up to the side- by- side slides, waiting in anticipation for the trap door to drop – then whoosh!

The “Vertigo” on the MSC Preziosa ship is pretty good! The 390 ft long slide sits on top of deck 18. You can travel down here at speeds of up to 13 mph catching a glimpse of the sea as you are carried over the edge of the ship! Some of my colleagues sampled this on our last visit, I was too chicken!

The “speedway splash”on the Carnival Sunshine have two fast lane racing slides – go on with a friend and see who gets to the bottom first!

Lastly, I could not mention the “Epic plunge” on the Norwegian Epic. This is located on deck 15, 200 feet and 4 stories tall. You sit on a raft, slide down the tube and sucked into a hole for a big splashy ending!

After all of this “wet and wild” stuff, I would think a relaxing evening sitting at the bar would be right up your street? it would be mine!
