AzAmazing Azamara

You may have seen this week some great special offers we advertised with Azamara Cruises. For those of you who are not familiar with them I thought I would give you a brief insight.

Azamara cruises are part of the Royal Caribbean group and have certainly blossomed in the last few years. There are only 2 ships the Quest and the Journey, each holding approx 686 passengers. Small ships compared to the “all singing, all dancing” ones yet still have a superb blend of amenities, such as multiple dining options, casino, lots of balcony cabins, but, they are small enough to feel friendly and cozy.   Being smaller they can call at smaller off beat ports too.

The ships are really beautiful with lovely furnishings and the food is excellent.  Azamara is all inclusive too which means all spirits, beers, wines, bottled water, soft drinks and speciality teas and coffee’s are included along with gratuities.  In the cruising world they have won many awards for dining, service, decor, shore excursions and value for money – not bad eh!

One of the highlights of Azamara cruising is the ” AzAmazing” evenings! These are evening excursions to places you would normally not get to see such as for example, – getting the red carpet treatment before a ballet, at the Mikhailovsky theatre in St Petersburg. Or, a romantic evening on a hillside in Tuscany, with a live performance by three tenors – what a treat!

As I mentioned earlier, the food really is wonderful. Each ship has 4 restaurants and are all open seating. They also offer lots of healthy food options and can even give you great fitness options such as a personal trainer, if you really feel the need!!

You may think this sounds very formal, but it is not, the “dress code” is resort casual, which I guess in our language is smart/casual.

When you look at the great offers currently around I think a 8 night western Med cruise from £1099.00 per person, including flights is really not bad at all.
