Family Cruise? Don’t Forget Carnival

If you are already planning ahead for next year,  have a family and want a good ship with plenty to do, then look no further then Carnival Cruises. 2016 will be the first time Carnival have sailed in Europe since 2013. Most Carnival Cruises are from the States, so this is a pretty big investment for them, they have not disappointed us.

This new ship, the Vista,  will be sailing mainly from Barcelona, which of course is aimed at the UK market. Offering a great 12 day cruise to such destinations as Dubrovnik, Izmir, Corfu, Sicily, Naples, Rome, Malta, Marseilles, Trieste and Livorno – wonderful ports of call.

What I like about the ship is the new class of cabins which are designed solely for families. These are called the “family harbour” and can accommodate up to five people. They look really spacious and have bed settees in them, much better then the pull down beds you can have.  These cabins also have access to a family harbour lounge, a good place to meet other families as well as been open 24 hours, serving breakfasts and snacks there. They also offer games and family movies there too, a good choice for the younger ones. Carnival even throw in one free baby sitting evening for you!

On board you have a great choice. There is the Sports Square which features this great “sky ride” like a bike but your above the deck. Or how about some mini bowling, arcade style basket ball or even a skycourse which is a ropes course.  There is a IMAX theatre the first of its kind at sea and not to be missed great waterparks. Along with a great childrens clubs and Seuss at sea.  So, that’s the kids sorted, what about us adults?  I must admit I do like the look of the Serenity adult only retreat, the red frog pub along with it’s own brewery, the Havana bar and pool area. And, I would not mind some time in the Punchliner comedy club as well as perhaps “strutting my stuff” with DJ Irie (he is meant to be hot- whatever that means!)

In summary, I really do think Carnival have come up trumps for us Brits, why not have a look at the ship and all they offer, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
