Meeting the new girls

So I have a busy couple of weeks coming up in March with visits to 2 new ships in the space of 8 days, and I honestly can’t wait.

The first I will be visiting is Cruise and Maritime’s new flagship, Magellan on the 3rd March in Tilbury.

She will be Cruise and Maritime’s biggest offering, carrying almost as many passengers as the Marco Polo and Azores combined. At 46,000 tonnes she is not exactly huge, so there should be a nice atmosphere on board.

As most people would do when going to visit somewhere/something new, I have done a little research and also looked at some photos, and I think you will agree, she looks fantastic.

I will be taking a lot of pictures whilst on board and do a blog on my thoughts on my return. I the service, food and entertainment are as good as the decoration, I think this ship will be a massive success. Offering great prices, UK departures and a really refreshing style on board, as well as specific single cabins I can only think of 1 thing that may hamper the girl. She only has 14 balcony cabins. Now checking availability, these are sold out on the first 4 sailings that I looked at, so they are obviously popular. So the message is clear. If you want a balcony book early.

Offering cruises from Tilbury, Newcastle and Dundee in her maiden season will prove a huge hit too I think.

I have high hopes and expectations of Magellan, I really hope she delivers, as I have booked 8 friends on her in June!! : )

What do you think? Look’s good huh!!
