Investigation Officially In Place For Viking Sky Incident

The owner of Viking Sky has announced the decision to support investigations into how the ship lost power whilst sailing through bad weather off the Norwegian coast. A total of 915 passengers and 458 crew were onboard when it suffered engine failure between Tromso and Stavanger last weekend. Viking Sky managed to anchor in Hustadvika Bay where roughly half the passengers were airlifted to safety. A total of 20 people were injured as a fleet of helicopters was deployed to rescue passengers.
