Icon of the Seas Brought To Life In Online Game Fortnite

Gamers and cruise fans alike can now experience Royal Caribbean’s eagerly awaited new cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, on Fortnite, one of the most popular video games in the world.

Royal Caribbean has teamed up with Fortnite Creative to bring two of the ship’s new neighbourhoods, Thrill Island and the Hideaway, to life in the online computer game. Players can collect coins or take part in hide and seek in some of the ship’s coolest new locations, like the epic Category 6 water park, hair-raising Crown’s Edge skywalk and ropes course, infamous surfing simulator FlowRider, and Lost Dunes mini golf course.

Icon of the Seas, the first in Royal Caribbean’s innovative Icon Class, is due to debut in January 2024. The 250,800 gross ton ship will be able to carry 7,600 guests, who will have more than 28 different types of accommodation to choose from, including 14 all-new cabin categories.

Onboard, guests will be able to dive into over 40 restaurants, lounges, bars, and nightlife venues and five neighbourhoods – including Thrill Island and The Hideaway – spread over 18 passenger decks. Cutting-edge entertainment will be available across the larger-than-life ship, including in the ship’s signature entertainment venue the AquaDome, a transforming space at the top of the Icon of the Seas.
