And The Prize For The Biggest Ship Goes To………………………..

And the prize for the biggest ship goes to …………………………. Royal Caribbean!

Not another huge cruise ship I hear you say – how much bigger can they get without sinking?

This certainly does not seem to be an issue Royal Caribbean are worrying about as they have just announced the building of their 6th Oasis Class ship. The as yet unnamed ship will join her sisters Harmony Of The Seas, Oasis Of The Sea, Symphony Of The Seas , Allure Of The Seas and the unnamed new mega ship due in Spring 2021 in being amongst the largest cruise ships in the world.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think there is a need for another Oasis Class ship? Are they going to be able to fill all those beds 365 days of the year? What about the enviroment – do the larger ships cause more damage than smaller ships?

I have been sat here wondering what new itineraries the ship can offer – nothing very different than whats out there at the moment as these ships can only get into certain places.

We all know that the cruise companies like to design new and ever more exciting experiences on their new ships – for the life of me I can not think of anything better than what they have now ( although that’s why the designers get paid mega bucks! )  How do you think they can better the Abyss – scarier and more dramatic drops – I mean the current Abyss scares me already! What about the pool areas – perhaps real sharks instead, don’t forget about the zip line – perhaps that will, have to be over the open sea ! I mean, you have really got to open your imagination to think about how they can improve on their existing offerings.

So will you be ready to sign up for this new ship due in Autumn 2023 or will you be giving it a miss?
