Is there going to be a bidding war?

I am not sure if I would do this but in theory, it sounds like a good idea.

The way it works is like this, from now on you can, on selected sailings bid to get an upgraded cabin.
You choose the dollar amount that you would pay to do that upgrade and then you submit it.

If you are lucky then you may get chosen and boom the upgrade is yours.

When you put your bid in you have to pop in your card details as well and they will take the payment once it is all confirmed.
As you would expect, they don’t put the top end cabins up for an upgrade bid at the same level as the others which is a shame as who would not like to try for a suite.

Each type of cabin has a minimum bid amount against it, I suppose it is worth a go as you have nothing to lose.
When you put your bid in it is per person but the good news is that if there are 4 of you in a cabin and you win the bid then only the first 2 pay the price.

The downside is this, you won’t find out until about 2 days before travel if you have won it or not, so bid on it and forget about it.

I would always say check out the price of an upgrade anyway as it may not be as much as you expect and that way you get what you want without the wait.

If anyone has a go and wins then let us know how you got on and maybe do a review as everyone will be interested in what happens.
