Decisions Decisions!

In the last few weeks I have had some very big decisions to make regarding the next steps in my eldest daughter Megan’s academic life and choose a secondary school, and I have found this incredibly hard. This Big decision my husband and  I have had to make will ultimately shape what kind of women she will grow to be and life she will have, therefore it is so important that we, along with Megan make the right choice. As what I would call fairly young parents we have never really had this sort of pressure before, when she started Primary school she was a catholic child so she when to the only catholic school in our town it was easy.

So after spending a few weeks visiting potential schools, all trying to sell to us why they think we should choose them to take care, and take over her education for the next 7-8 years. We have meet a ridiculous amount of teachers and students all letting us in on why their school is special and a cut above the rest. We have finally (And not without some sleepless nights) choose the local Brompton Academy School, who we feel can offer our Megan the best start to her adult life as they specialise not just in the general academics but the focus a lot on building life skills, and have a extremely strong sports and music opportunities which suits our daughter perfectly. PHEW!!!!!!!!

How do you make big decisions like these?

As a sales person I can’t but help to compare this situation to one that my customers come to me with every day.  They research their perfect cruise, comparing the various cruise companies through brochures, online reviews and other peoples recommendations. They will then shop about to find out exactly what individual companies can offer them ideally meets their own needs and hopefully find a way that will single themselves out in front of the rest. They then have the big decision to which company they was to put their hard earn money in to look after them until they leave for their holiday.

Is there something that you look for that would give a sale person like myself the edge to make you choose them?
