The Wonder of Disney

disney wonder

For some there is nothing that quite compares to the vast open seas, the sound of the ocean, the sunset on the horizon at dusk. But combine this with the wonder of Walt Disney and you may just have a little piece of magic on your hands.

I do get a little emotional when it comes to Disney and I am a huge fan. So having the chance to go on the Disney Wonder was an opportunity not to be missed.

The Animators palate dining room has to be my favourite feature of the ship, as you dine the black and white film slideshow on the walls comes to vibrant life and colour around you and reaches its grand finale at the end of the meal.

The Walt Disney theatre is another grand feature which showcases Disney’s best productions. This to me is what Disney do best, they know how to captivate and draw you in with the music, and for a little while, you are Tinkerbell or Cinderella.

But its the traditional build of the ship I also love, with its sophistication and homage to the grand seas, its nautical themed family cabins and art nouveau decor.  She really is a grand ocean liner.

Where would one start for the children!! It’s Disney, what else need one say. There are splash pools and slides, the oceaneer clubs with dance floor, dress up closet, computer games, and so much more. In the Bahamas there are even teen only excursions.

If the adults need to escape, there is always the Vista Spa or the adult bars with live music in the evenings.

So the big question is……… should Disney bring one of their ships to the UK? Absolutely!!  We fans are ready and waiting.
