Famous Guest speakers….who would you like to see??

Murray Walker

After conducting 40 years of the finest guest speakers in the industry Cunard has announced the next new high caliber speakers who will join QM2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth over the next coming months. Cunard was the first to introduce guest speakers back in 1974 and has included Presidents, actors and comedians to name but a few.

The chance to meet some of these legendary people and hear all about their exciting careers would most definitely make me want to pick a particular cruise.

Joining Cunard Queen Victoria in November 2014 will be none other than the legend himself Murray Walker.  Murray was born into the world of motorcycling as his father was a professional racing motor cyclist. He too took this up after serving as an officer for the Royal Scotts Greys Tank Regiment. He has also been a TV commentator since 1949 commenting on all types of motor sport. My husband has a love of motorcycling and I know would love to hear what Murray Walker had to say as would I.

Former South African President Frederik Willem de Klerk who won the Nobel Peace price in 1993 with Nelson Mandela will be joining QM2 in April 2015.

Other speakers will include the journalist Katie Addie OBE, broadcaster and Royal expert Caroline Aston the actor Robert Powell, Falklands veteran Simon Weston, Politician Lord Michael Howard, business guru Lord Digby Jones and Politician Ann Widdecombe.

Themed cruises, guest speakers and enhancement programmes are an excellent way to experience something we ordinarily wouldn’t. Culinary classes, wine connoisseur cruises, painting or architecture to name a few I think are a brilliant idea and it is no wonder these types of cruises are becoming all the more popular.

There are one or 2 guest speakers I would love to meet and would most definately book one of these cruises, and that would be Sir David Attenborough, there surely can be no-one in the world that knows and has experienced what he has, the diverse cultures, parts of the world, nature and history, he is a living encyclopedia and one of the most interesting people on the planet. The second I would definately want to see would be Bear Grylls, how great would he be on expedition and adventure cruises. He would have to stay for the whole cruise however guiding excursions.

Who would you love to see or what theme cruise would you like most of all. I would love to hear suggestions.
