Nightclub under the Stars

Princess cruises has unveiled its newest feature to debut on Regal Princess….. A nightclub under the stars.

Princess already features its movies under the stars open air cinema experience, which I absolutely love. A nightclub under the stars named “Night Sky Lounge” will see the top retreat pool deck transform into a club. Featuring  upbeat and modern Miami style vibe music with atmospheric pool and furniture lighting guests can dance the night away to the DJs state of the art music system. I love Miami with its Cuban Latin Cabana feel and I am sure this be a sure fire hit.

Sophisticated cocktails will be served by a bar-tending demonstration and guests can also hire a cabana with bottle service.

This chic and contemporary nightclub will only happen once per cruise and the first will happen on November 6th this year when Regal Princess starts her inaugural Caribbean season. A nominal fee will be charged for the event.

The first Caribbean sailing will see Regal Princess set sail for the Eastern Caribbean visiting  St Thomas, ST Maarten and Princess Cays in the Bahamas.

There is only one thing I don’t get…..why charge the nominal fee. It seems that more and more features are now beginning to charge extra fees for this or that.  They add a brilliant new feature and then tell everyone but you have to pay for it. I could understand if for example Royal Caribbean chose to impose a nominal fee for the bumper cars on Quantum Class, [ but they dont ], but this is simply paying to enter a venue which is actually just deck space. Maybe they will throw in a cocktail or 2!!

Either way I love this new concept for the love boat, which now has movies, engagement and now a nightclub under the stars. I cant wait to experience this feature and hope they roll it out across Royal and maybe some other ships too.
