Dancing ships on the Mersey

This week Liverpool was treated to a spectacular event from Cunard celebrating their 175 years milestone on the Mersey. This has definitely got to go down as one of Cunard’s most memorable moments this Century so far.

I was hoping to go up to Liverpool to see the event but unfortunately didn’t  make it, however many passenger I had booked contacted me yesterday to say what a fantastic time they had. and my best friend who lives on the Mersey said it was surreal to watch three gigantic ships sail past her house with the Red arrows flying overhead. The Mersey had been specially dredged due to the depth of the Queen Mary.

It was reported one million people were in Liverpool on Monday to watch the Celebrations. The Queen Mary led the procession, and the three ships rotated in unison with the media documenting every move intensely. This has been a long awaited Celebration from Cunard, topping off our busy year so far with the Britannia and Anthem launch. It is fantastic to have had so many exciting cruise events this year.

What’s going to be next?????
