Happy Birthday Princess

Princess Cruises, which celebrates the five decade mark in 2015, has created a special Mexico itinerary departing on 3rd December 2015. This is exactly 50 years to the day that the original ship, Princess Patricia, set sail on the company’s very first cruise in 1965.

Sailing aboard the intimate Pacific Princess, next year’s unique sailing is the same length as the company’s very first cruise (14 days) and will include a blend of ports from the maiden itinerary such as Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán and Manzanillo added to some newer destinations such as La Paz and Loreto.

Guests will be treated to activities and entertainment commemorating half a century of cruising by the famous line, and will also be joined by some surprise guests. This anniversary sailing on the Pacific Princess is available for sale very soon in the US, a date for the UK is still unknown, but when cruise.co.uk finds out, you will be the 1st to know!

This nostalgic cruise to Mexico will be the perfect finale to what’s sure to be a special 50th anniversary year for Princess and it is fitting that they decided to mark the occasion by recreating, the very first cruise that the company operated.

Also fitting is that the company have chosen to utilise the Pacific Princess a name that is integral to the company’s history and an iconic name within the cruise community.

If you recall a previous blog of mine, regarding the original Pacific Princess, which was better known as, The Love Boat, this new ship of the same name is just as intimate carrying only 670 guests

The line has grown to become the third largest cruise line in the world and a recognised leader in taking travellers to some of the most fascinating places around the globe.
