P&O Oriana has cruise cut short due to propellor problems

There was some unfortunate news about the P&O Oriana this week, she is returning to Southampton three days earlier than scheduled as a result of a technical problem with her propeller.
The cruise that has been affected is the X404 15th February 2015 14nts sailing.
Passengers can choose to stay on-board until the planned disembarkation date or get off the ship early.
There was also an earlier decision to change the itinerary and miss a port of call in the Canary Islands when the propeller problem initially started.
P&O are giving passengers the choice of a 100% future credit for use on a future Oriana cruise to be used by the end of 2015, or a 40% cash refund, I think this is a very reasonable offer by P&O.
The Oriana is still scheduled to depart on 1st March 12 night sailing as planned.
Unfortunately, although rare, unforeseen circumstances like this can happen.  I think P&O have adequately compensated passengers, the main thing is that there was no-one hurt.
