Strictly for young adults

Who says that River Cruising isn’t for young adults? Thanks to Uniworld, they are the first brand to offer river cruising to young travellers age 21-45.

U by Uniworld had it’s maiden voyage this year down the River Seine. And it seems those who travelled on the voyage had an absolute blast.

Uniworld announced this new brand back in December 2016 in order to open up river cruises to travellers who look for local experiences and nightlife in their choice of holiday.

Sister ships The A and The B have been uniquely designed and renovated to offer immersive, fun and adventurous travel for it’s guests. Everything has been carefully thought of including the decor, dining, cocktail service and land adventures. Both the A and the B have a black exterior and feature a sleek interior design with open communal spaces and rooftop lounges.

The B features four suites, 26 balcony bedrooms, 29 studio bedrooms and two studio bedrooms with triple occupancy, all of which boast waterfront views and equipped built-in Bluetooth speakers.

Guests can also enjoy two rooftop venues, a spa, mixologists, international DJs, communal tables for dining, and farm-to-table cuisine.

So just where exactly do they travel to? They cover 6 countries and 27 ports of call. The countries are The Netherlands, Germany, France, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria. Itineraries typically operate between April to October and they also have a Christmas markets cruise in December. 7 night cruises typically start from £140 per person per day.

For somebody like me and my partner, who enjoy city breaks as well as taking in the local culture and enjoy cruising, U by Uniworld sounds right up our street.

So what are your thoughts on this? Is it about time the world of River cruising was opened up to a younger crowd? Are you someone who has managed to sail on board one of these itineraries when U by Uniworld launched? Let us all know.
