My First Ever River Cruise!

River Cruise is something new to me, something I have always wanted to try, but never got round to doing.  So, by chance a work trip had become available, I put my name down to be considered.  And my name was pulled out of the hat!  I am so excited, so I thought I would tell you all about my planned trip!

So, on the 1st April, I make my way to Birmingham Airport for my flight to Amsterdam, where I will then be met by my Titan reps, and join our group of travelling companions.  We will then board the MS Bellejour, and start our incredible journey.  I am yet to find out what type of cabin I will be in, but the great thing about River cruises, is there are no inside cabins, so I will have some form of window and if I am lucky maybe a French Balcony.

The itinerary is titled Dutch Waterways and Tulips, I spend an amazing 5 nights on this wonderful ship, on the 1st April (I did wonder if it was an April Fool’s).  I get to explore Zaanse Schans Windmill Village, Keukenhof Gardens and also, an Amsterdam City Tour and Canal Cruise!  Now, having only visited Amsterdam as a child, it will be great for me, to now see as an adult as I haven’t visited it for so long.   I’m really looking forward to seeing a different side to cruising,  and I can’t wait to compare how it feels to be on a river cruise compared to an ocean cruise!

I will be taking a million and one photos, along with some videos of my cabin and around the ship,, it is just so hard to contain my excitement.

So, keep an eye on my blog where I will be telling you all about my trip and sharing all my photos with you!

If you can’t wait for my next blog, then you can visit the river cruise section of our website here, and see if River Cruising is for you!
