Saved at Sea

Two people were left stranded in the middle of the Caribbean Sea after their light plane crashed and sunk near the Grand Turk on Tuesday 5th March. Luckily, the Regal Princess which was passing by on day two of a seven-night Caribbean cruise spotted them in the water.

The coast guard also assisted in the rescue of the two people and the vessels crew deployed a rescue boat to retrieve them.

Passengers looked on and cheered them to safety as the crew brought them back onto the ship. What a lucky escape they had!

In other news…

I honestly wasn’t too sure if I had mixed up my months and it was April fools…..

I saw in the news the other day that a 77-year-old Grandma from Texas had gone viral on twitter and floated away on a tiny piece of ice after she was posing for a photo, now known as the Iceberg Queen.

She had been taking photos on a throne shaped piece of ice whilst on holiday in Iceland with her son and a freak wave come and swept her off the shore. Fortunately, she wasn’t in danger for long, but she actually had to be retrieved by boat. Poor lady!
