Saved at Sea

Two people were left stranded in the middle of the Caribbean Sea after their light plane crashed and sunk near the Grand Turk on Tuesday 5^th March. Luckily, the Regal Princess which was passing by on day two of a seven-night Caribbean cruise spotted them in the water.

The coast guard also assisted in the rescue of the two people and the vessels crew deployed a rescue boat to retrieve them.

Passengers looked on and cheered them to safety as the crew brought them back onto the ship. What a lucky escape they had!

In other news…

I honestly wasn’t too sure if I had mixed up my months and it was April fools…..

I saw in the news the other day that a 77-year-old Grandma from Texas had gone viral on twitter and floated away on a tiny piece of ice after she was posing for a photo, now known as the Iceberg Queen.

She had been taking photos on a throne shaped piece of ice whilst on holiday in Iceland with her son and a freak wave come and swept her off the shore. Fortunately, she wasn’t in danger for long, but she actually had to be retrieved by boat. Poor lady!
