Planning from Southampton

Greeting cruisers

Well I hope you are all full swing into Christmas and the decorations are up and the letters have been sent to Santa, It seems many of you are now seriously seeking winter sunshine and the Caribbean is on every ones mind. If you are thinking of getting away early next year please start booking now, most Caribbean cruises now are selling out and there have been many disappointed clients. We seem to be finding cabin spaces but the flights are causing the issue, get booking now and avoid the upcoming winter months.

Anyways let me crack on to what I wanted to discuss, as most are aware the busiest port in the UK is Southampton and I seem to be getting more and more questions about the port itself. So with that in mind I have added a link below that should answer all your questions, including, what are the best hotels to use, where is it best to park my car and what is there to do in Southampton before I board my ship.

It seems there is no slowing down and the port just keeps expanding, sometimes there can be up to 8 ships in at a time, so being organised before you travel is certainly a good idea.

The Port of Southampton is the busiest cruise terminal in the UK and second largest container port. Located on the south coast it benefits from a sheltered location, unique ‘double tides’, close proximity to the motorway network and good rail links. It’s been owned and operated by Associated British Ports since 1982.

A lot of cruisers that use Southampton prefer to stay the night before their cruise and enjoy everything that Southampton has to offer. Where should you stay though? What should you do? Hopefully the below link should help you out
