I’ll Take The High Road And You ……..

We live in a beautiful country with such diverse scenery, can you say hand in heart you have been to just about every county in the UK?  As a northern girl I can say yes to the North and Midlands and I am guessing there are lot of you who live in the south of the UK who have never been “up north” and visited Scotland?

If you haven’t then you will love this cruise with Fred Olsen.  Sailing from Dover on 23rd August for a 10 night cruise on the lovely Braemar ship. Highlights would be visiting the Highland games (perhaps have a go at tossing the caber!) and stopping in Edinburgh and seeing the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo! Apart from these destinations you would also visit Kirkwall right up in the Orkney Islands as well as stopping off in Dublin for a bit of shopping or maybe a pint or two of Guinness!

The Braemar only carries approx 930 passengers, a lovely size but also has a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, and library to name but a few.  Fred Olsen have also recently added  a new cafe called the Cafe Venus, this will offer speciality coffees and teas as well as some lovely luxury chocolates for you to try out.  You are spoilt for choice with cabin accommodation which ranges from inside right up to balcony suites and prices are only from £989.00 per person! As an awful lot of cruise lines are now offering the all inclusive drinks option, Fred are doing the same too with prices from £10.00 per person per day, a really good choice if you like a wee dram or two!

So, if this year you do want to do a cruise, but don’t want to travel that far away from home, then try this one out, with the added extras of going to the Highland Games, spotting the Queen and then going to the Tattoo, I do not think you would be disappointed!
