I was Wowed!!

You may recall my last blog and my statement – “wow me MSC”. Well, I can honestly tell you I have been!  I have been on a lot of cruise ships, but this trip really did wow me.

The Prezosia is the most beautiful ship. A crystal staircase in the atrium is one of the outstanding features. The cabins are very well equipped and comfortable, and the showers have an actual cubicle not a shower curtain – woo hoo!

Food on board is always an important factor , a few people had commented to me that they did not think the food was that great.  Ok, it is not piping hot when served but we do need to remember this is a Mediterranean cruise line and in the Med the food is served warm.  I have to add the food was fantastic, a great variety with some of the most delicious steaks I have ever eaten! The Golden Lobster restaurant is beautiful, staff were exceptional and the food there was – well just fab.    Being Italian there is of course plenty of Pasta and Pizza. The pizza’s are to die for and all specially made by a dedicated pizza chef.  Talking of food the buffet restaurant is vast, so much choice. I don’t think I have experienced as much.  One thing I did not like was the plastic plates in this restaurant, but hey I am now being picky!

We come to entertainment. Yes you have to listen to the compare speaking a few languages, apart from that it was good.  We watched a Queen tribute show on the 1st night and although it was not like the west end, it was really enjoyable. On our last night, they had a opera night, not my cup of tea but plenty of people really did enjoy it.  We even watched some kind of Latin dancing one night, which my colleague Serena joined – a laugh I can tell you!

You often hear that the staff are not as good as the British or other nationalities. On the Prezosia we had a multitude of nationalities from Nepal to Honduras, every one of them spoke excellent English and were so friendly. To top it all the Italian officers are to die for (well, a girl can dream!)

Facilities on board were really good from the casino to the pool areas with a MEGA water slide (I did not want my “wobbly bits” on show so did not go on!), the shops, F1 simulator car, bowling in the american diner and a fantastic spa area. I experienced 45 minutes of heaven with a great full body massage, wonderful!

So from being a “not so sure” girl I am now a “go for it – there fantastic” girl!

Thank you MSC for opening my eyes, I cant wait to sail with you again.

Have a read of part 2 of my MSC adventure!
