2016 – Don’t Be Caught Out

Well, here we all go again. Time to plan our next cruise.  There is always lots of discussion on when is the right time to book? Is it better to wait or book now.  As you will be aware, I am a great believer in booking the earlier the better. Not only do you get some great deals but more importantly you do get what you really want! In your mind, you know you want a balcony on “that” cruise – you watch the prices every week, then ready to book it and guess what? It’s full OR the price is really not that much cheaper then you originally thought! Been there?

If you have a fixed date, or looking at school holidays, please do try and book now. Some of the most amazing deals are in the market place right now, and some of these dates are already booked or very nearly!  I do agree that some deals are not as we think they are, but in all honesty you get that everywhere! You see a nice dress in the window, but when you look at it that one is not the one the shop is selling at that price! Saying that, these deals are not to be sniffed at, you are getting some amazing value for money.

For instance what about the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity deals? Free drinks included. Or what about good old Fred Olsen? Free drinks and tips included?  NCL have a great drinks package OR take the dining package OR have some money to spend on board.  P&O and Cunard are also offering some really good on board spend offers – okay, your not getting free drinks but would that money help you pay for the drinks on board? MSC are offering a great drinks package and so it goes on.

It is not just about the offers though is it? If you want to know what cabin your going to, midship? Front or aft? Please try not to leave it that long. Mid ship are the ones that always get booked up earlier then the others. If your one of the  lucky ones who don’t have to go in the peak dates – great, but do try to be flexible. You would be surprised at how many people say they can go anytime, when in reality they can’t.

Maybe this year is your year to try out a new destination?  Some of the destinations for 2016 currently in trend at the moment are, – Kotor in Montenegro, Costa Rica, Abu Dhabi, Canada, China, Hawaii, Iceland, Naples and Apulia area of Italy, Peru, Sri Lanka and Queensland in Australia.

Whatever you decide on, it is a great feeling, knowing you have booked!  Give me a call anytime, I am here to help you plan your trip and not be caught out!
