I have to say after reading the news that the first ever Woman Captain had been appointed by Celebrity Cruises I was thrilled !
Kate McCue, 37 and from San Francisco will take the helm of the celebrity Summit next month, She will be responsible for 2158 guests and 952 Crew Members and the safe navigation of the ship.
Kate who is 37 and from San Francisco has over 15 years experience in the Maritime Industry and is a graduate of the California Maritime Academy.
She is also a dead ringer for Sandra Bullock , do you agree?
Congratulations Kate lets hope to see more women in the foreseeable future!
