My Upgrade to a Suite

I wanted to share my experience on my trip on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas in stateroom 6305 The Ben & Jerry’s ‘Sweet’. It was a customer of mine who had been “tipped off” about this stateroom so I thought I would give it a try!

The stateroom overlooks Ben & Jerry’s , so your view from your promenade window is of two life size cows and all you see is their behinds!  Not ideal from anyone’s point of view.

So was it worth it? Yes it sure was! The stateroom was decorated with a black and white cow print theme with little extras such as pillows, cushions ornaments even an alarm clock all with the cow theme. The main clincher for me was the free daily ice cream Ben & Jerry’s of course for both passengers and the use of the Concierge Club on deck 10. This will probably be the only time I have access to this elite club unless my numbers come up on Saturday nights lottery . Each evening between 5.30 and 8.30 we would make our way up to deck 10 for our free nibbles and drinks and wow what generous measures they were! My husband and I met some of the most interesting people some of them had been on more than 100 cruises and from all walks of life, not what I had previously anticipated .Some of them have become good friends and hopefully will continue to trust me with their holiday arrangements.

So was there a down side to this one of a kind stateroom? Previous reviews I had looked up had suggested it was noisy and to avoid, in my opinion it was no different to the previous cruises I have been on. Maybe it was the triple bacardis and Kir Royales I consumed in the Concierge lounge but I slept like a baby for the entire trip. So if you get the chance, go on, ask for stateroom 6305 on your trip on Indie !
