The comment I received from my very unhappy guest , when Ryan air cancelled his flight was exactly that ”Thank God I packaged my holiday with you !!”

So to package and pay that little bit extra for piece of mind is worth its weight in gold. ATOL protection for the whole journey not just the cruise.

Let me tell you the story…..

I had a client who was travelling on Ryan Air the other day and due to air traffic control, the flight was cancelled at the last minute , just before boarding. He was due to fly to Genoa ,ready to join his cruise the following day.

The queue to speak to someone was miles long and the best that Ryan Air could do was offer a refund, (now imagine that’s you with your cheap flight , having only booked the cruise with us!!). My first thought would be where do I start. The hotel and transfers you sorted are lost and you now have to start looking for another flight so you do not loose that all important cruise too.  Stress would be the first thing that comes to mind and , quite possibly at lot of money out of pocket!!

Not for our customer, I found a new flight and arranged for him to meet the cruise a day later, at no cost to him. Believe me when I say it cost us over £1000 to arrange the last minute flights and transfer to the cruise.

He went home, sat had a cup of tea and I arranged everything, including speaking to the cruise company to get permission for him to join the cruise a day late.

These are the biggest reasons for letting us package your holiday ( less stress in the long run) and get that all important ATOL protection.

He is now (as I type) on his cruise , hopefully enjoying better weather than us !

Moral of the story, cheap is not always cost effective !!!
