New experiences !! on and off Magellan

Hi All , Wow it has been a year for new experiences. The girls from my training and I have just had a celebratory cruise for our 1 year anniversary with Cruise.co.uk (As you may have seen from my Facebook) We decided on a 3 night Christmas market cruise with Cruise and Maritime . We boarded Magellen at Tilbury and I have to say the easiest boarding ever.

The cabin was a superior outside cabin, on Deck 6 and was quite spacious and the bathroom had lovely shower.

The ship itself has had a bit of a refurbishment and is looking good. I didn’t get chance to take a lot of pics as my camera not brill. But just so you know there is a new British tavern on board with live singer and very typically British, the Sinatra’s lounge is for chilling and the the Captains lounge for later night entertainment. The show lounge was very plush , but quick tip get there early as there are a few poles and they do obscure you view.

Dining was good, however if Gluten free please make sure you check and double check if ok to have.

Our first port of call was Amsterdam, As I have been a few times before we decided to do the typical Amsterdam things, Red light district to see what that was all about and the sex Museum, which was hilarious !!!

Florence , DJ and I never stopped giggling, truly random. The shops are good too with plenty of cafes for coffee along the way.

The next day was on to Antwerp. Wow, is really all I can say, the city is beautiful and will definitely be going again. Unfortunately the Christmas market we were there to see didn’t open for another few days , but found a fab Christmas pop up shop , and the rest of the shops are amazing too Gucci, Prada etc. Cruise and Maritime had organised free transfers to Bruges and Brussels to the Markets there , but we wanted to stay in Antwerp.

Florence and I decided to have a ride on the trolley train and saw most of the city with its beautiful and stunning architecture.
