The UK is going Crazy for P&O Iona

Last year we reported that the brand new P&O Iona was launching her maiden season in The Fjords from Southampton with 7 night itineraries in the Fjords. what ensured was an incredible launch for P&O with thousands of you feeling satisfied with incredible value for money on a new ship built with the Fjords in mind.

Her maiden voyage practically sold out within hours. A combination of no gratuities, roamers of new drinks packages fleet wide, as well as the new Sky Dome “a first at sea” and a central atrium that has more floor to ceiling glass than any other new ship was enough to wet the appetite.

There were however some of you that have waited to see where Iona will go next as you may have wanted to do the new ship but having cruised many times from Southampton you may have wanted an itinerary that was not in the majestic Fjords.

Well wait no longer!

P&O have been extremely busy in the last few months securing the route for Iona for the winter season and have actually given us dates that take in all of 2020-2021.

Iona will now be sailing Spain, Portugal and the Canaries from Southampton on 14 Night itineraries or you can also take in Northern Europe Ittinaries to include ports such as Hamberg, Bruge, and Rotterdam for (Amsterdam)

What has impressed me so much with watching all of our marketing material and P&O webinars is the general direction the cruise line are going in.

Not only are they satisfied with their customers visiting the same old ports they have secured some of the most exclusive excursions around including but not limited to a sand dunes open cart in Gran Caneria, Vin Yard tours in The Canaries, and more over night ports and later departures in many ports which for the first time are varied so change from week to week.

There are ports such as Seville a firm favorite in Spain and Rotterdam overnight so you can still visit Amsterdam and kill two birds with one stone.

Its so clear to me that with P&O’ Brexit promises, kids sail free campaigns, no gratuities, most interesting excursions, more overnight ports, later departures, drinks packages, choice of free parking, on board credit or free coach travel, free shuttle coaches in ports. not to mention the fact they have one of the finest new ships in the world built for British guests its no wonder they are the UK’s favorite cruise line and with the changes made in their business model I can see them dominating the British cruising scene for many years to come.
