I have never been as shocked in my cruise.co working life as I was this week by James Ellis’s article in The Sun Newspaper on 9th November.  He spoke about a new theme cruise exclusively for adults.

know as The Venice Foreplay cruise by The Original Group famed for their “high end free- and- easy Desire Resorts in Cancun Mexico have officially released (no pun intended) their Venice Foreplay cruise at London’s World Travel Market last week.

so far they have sold over 35% of the cabins mainly to American couples. The aptly named Mario Cruz, the brands concept manager has suggested “We are coming to the UK in an effort to get more British and European swingers”.

You wont need much Luggage!

Clothing is optional on board, intimate relations are alleged to be restricted to private areas. Evening entertainment will consist of fancy undress parties, a naughty Nautical party and a Masquerade ball. Sex is not allowed in any of The Ships public spaces.

Special Playrooms will be exclusive for couples wanting to be more intimate said Cruz.

My Thoughts ???

Perhaps it’s not fare for me to judge or perhaps as I sell cruises for a living I shouldn’t have an opinion. Well frankly that’s not me…

All jokes aside I am all for pushing the boundary’s of what is possible at Sea and I understand the need for Themed cruises with variety but I cant help but feel this is a step to far.

I think about the bar staff on board this vessel and their husbands and wife’s back home wondering what it is they are having to see as they wipe down the bar at night. I think about the Brand of Azamara and what this very cruise will result in for a brand I have always seen as luxury.

Honestly I am at a loss for words so controversial a subject that it is I trust you all will have something to say about this.
