Black Friday Absolute Madness

Last week was the 1st Black Friday I have worked here at www.cruise.co.uk and I can honestly say it was crazy busy. Lots of cruise lines had their own offers on and as a company we noticed much more activity on incoming inquiries via phone and email, which was expected.

I’m told year on year these sales get bigger and bigger. It wasn’t just the high street savings on Christmas presents Black Friday weekend including Cyber Monday was awash with Cruise line discounts as well as customers getting ahead and booking cruises for the next two years.

Most cruise lines offered Low deposits. Celebrity had a free drinks package, Royal Caribbean had an addition $100 USD on board credit per cabin.

My Pick of the bunch was Princess who seemed incredibly motivated in discounting key cruises through the school holiday dates.

The Crown Princess from Southampton was discounted on 26th May 2017 sailing to £469 PP with children sailing for £99; What I liked most about this discount is that it was for two school holiday cruises so families could take advantage of lower than usual fares for these two sailings, both from Southampton.

Are the sales over?

Honestly we are seeing more and more cruise lines take advantage of longer sale periods and prices have remained low in most cases until cabin grades have sold out. As a company we more than happy to provide you with the latest prices and we are super competitive.

What to expect in the January sales?

My advise would be to take advantage of the time between December and January as what tends to happen is availability is the biggest problem on the ships.
